Questions people ask before they book.
Nine of the ones we are asked most, answered before you have to ask them.
Is laser hair removal suitable for my skin tone?
Our laser treats skin types I to VI, including deeper skin tones. The settings change with your skin type, which is why the patch test matters. We look at your skin, your history and your hair colour first, then tell you honestly what results you can expect.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe a warm snap, like a rubber band, with a cool blast of air straight after. Some areas sting more than others, and the upper lip and the bikini line are the ones people mention. It is quick. A single underarm takes only a few minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people need eight to ten sessions, four to six weeks apart on the body and a little closer on the face. Hair grows in cycles and laser only works on hair that is actively growing, which is why one session is never enough.
What is a patch test?
A small test on a hidden area, at the settings we plan to use on you. It takes about ten minutes and it is free. We wait at least 48 hours before treating so we can see how your skin reacts. Nothing is treated on the first visit.
Do you treat men?
Yes. Backs, chests, shoulders, necklines and beard lines are treated here every week. Prices are the same by area. Full body is the one exception, at £200 for men and £180 for women, because the treated area is larger.
Do you see clients from Spain, and in which languages?
Yes. We are about fifteen minutes’ walk from the frontier and we see people from La Línea and the Campo every week. The team works in English and Español. There is no VAT in Gibraltar, so the price you see is the price you pay.
What happens if you decide not to treat me?
We tell you, and we tell you why. Sometimes the honest answer is a different treatment and sometimes it is waiting. You are not charged for finding out, because four of our consultations cost nothing. Saying no is part of the job.
How do I pay?
You pay at the clinic, by card or cash, after your treatment. There is no deposit and nothing is taken when you book. The prices on this site match the prices on our booking page, and there is no VAT in Gibraltar to add on top.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us at least 24 hours if you need to move or cancel an appointment, so we can offer the slot to someone else. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may mean we ask for a deposit before booking again.
